At a young age my family attended church until I was about 9 years old. After that I wasn’t exposed much to Jesus or church until I became a student at Lee University. My girlfriend encouraged me to begin thinking about Jesus and attending church again. I started coming to Public Church and after period of time I realized that I needed to become a Jesus follower. I realized that I needed to receive His forgiveness.

During the “Death and Life” series I realized how much words have impacted my life and how my words can have both a negative and positive impact on others. I realized that I need to be more mindful of the words I speak to others and positively reflect my relationship with Jesus in this area.

I decided to be baptized because I want others to know that I have begun following Jesus and I want to take a step forward in having a positive impact on those I encounter. My desire is to speak words of life to those I am around so hopefully they will see the difference that Jesus can make in their own life.

My parents’ love for me has had a huge impact on my life. Seeing their love and encouragement has helped me also see how great God’s love is for me. They have been very supportive in my decision to become a Jesus follower.
